How to use a Strut Channel Nut?

Strut channel nuts are used in a variety of channel support systems. The bites along the edges of the nut act as small teeth that lock onto the channel when you tighten the fitting in place. Turn the strut nut perpendicular and align the bites in the nut with the edges of the strut channel. Then put the fitting over the nut and insert the threaded rod through the fitting and into the nut. This will hold the strut channel nut and strut fitting in place.
